CLEVELAND, Ohio — Josh Byers of Strongsville was voted the top sophomore boys basketball player in Northeast Ohio the past week in a reader poll on cleveland.com, receiving 22.2 percent of the votes. Byers averaged 11.5 points for Strongsville (12-10), second behind senior point guard Justin Wypasek, who is the only senior on the Mustangs. Byers started with Wypasek last year and came back to lead one of the youngest teams in the Greater Cleveland Conference and Northeast Ohio.
