STRONGSVILLE, Ohio – Stephen Kilo, Strongsville's human resources director, will continue making $131,934 a year after he retires Wednesday (May 31) and is rehired to the same position Thursday (June 1). It's the same salary he's earning now, according to Kilo, who was first hired by the city of Strongsville in 1997. He became HR director here in 2011 after first working as recreation supervisor, assistant recreation director and director of recreation and senior services. Kilo, 57, will join the ranks of ' double-dippers,' who collect taxpayer-funded state pensions in retirement while simultaneously earning public salaries as post-retirement rehires.
