STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — Close calls got the best of Strongsville a year ago. With a young and inexperienced team, the Mustangs opened last season 2-1 before Greater Cleveland Conference play, where their only win the rest of the season came against Euclid. The schedule shifts this year with Solon moved up to Week 2 in its final season as a GCC member, while Berea-Midpark replaces Brecksville-Broadview Heights. Benedictine also is a new opponent, while Strongsville's annual nonconference matchup with Cleveland Heights in the middle of the season is now a GCC game.
